This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.

See the sun peek through the cloudy view, makes me wanna stop and think it through. A impromptu acoustic performance from my band straight from my Northcote flat. Hope you enjoy it!

So, I recently graduated from a Bachelor of Music Technology from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University in December 2010. This degree gave me a strong grasp of music theory, aural, composition, arrangement and audio production/engineering.
I also decided (on a whim) to audition for the prestigious Berklee College of Music in June 2010. Their campus is in Boston, MA, but luckily for me they held annual auditions in Sydney and Melbourne. I flew down to Sydney with a guitar and a toothbrush and sang them one of my songs and then proceeded to jam with the Berklee Staff. Life resumed as normal in Brisbane when several weeks later I received the scholarship package in my mail. $16K. I turned it down.
I needed to get out.
I moved to Melbourne, found a part-time teaching job, found a flat in Northcote, set up a studio, and kept writing, reading, watching, learning, absorbing being the sponge that I am. I still don’t know what to make of this, but I do know that this is just the start of an ongoing creative process that I have to go through.
